Illinois State Police Enforcing Fines on Left Lane Drivers in 2019

In 2019, officials with the Illinois State Police say troopers plan to crack down on drivers who are stay put while driving in the left lane on interstates and large highways.

State Police say a traffic law was passed two years ago in Springfield regarding “improper use of the left lane” and if you are caught doing so, a $120 fine could be issued.
