Shelby County, AL to consider proposed toll bridge over the Coosa River

Shelby County is looking for more answers before deciding if it should provide a license to a developer who hopes to build a privately-owned toll bridge across the Coosa River.

As we previously reported, Alabama businessman Tim James applied on Dec. 12 to the Talladega County Commission for a license to build and operate a toll bridge that would connect Interstate 65 in Calera to U.S. 280 in Sylacauga.

According to reports from ABC 33/40, James is working to secure a license n Shelby County as well with hopes to have licenses from both counties by the spring.
