Senator urges Honda recall, NHTSA investigation into Kyle Plush’s death

A key senator overseeing the federal agency charged with preventing auto deaths is urging Honda recall minivans and calling for a probe in its latching problems a day after an Enquirer investigationbrought the issue to light.

The Enquirer posted an investigation late Tuesday exploring a string of Honda Odyssey complaints concerning latching problems and seat stability issues before the April 10 death of Kyle Plush. The report also revealed an investigator’s memo that shows he had difficulty latching the very seat that killed the 16-year-old Seven Hills student.
