Florida: Red light cameras help resurface Kissimmee roads

There’s over 150 miles of paved roadways within Kissimmee city limits, and public works officials are working to increase resurfacing projects to keep them in good condition. The city spent $815,000 on road resurfacing work last year. “The vast majority of these funds came from red light camera ticket revenue,” said City Manager Mike Steigerwald at a city meeting Tuesday night. “We’re using it to repave the roadways that folks drive on every day.”
