Pickup/drop-off zones for ride-sharing services designated in Boston

Mayor Marty Walsh has announced a program that designates curb space for pickups and drop-offs for ride-sharing services such as Uber and Lyft in one part of the city.

The first designated area as part of the pilot program will be at the intersection of Boylston and Kilmarnock streets in the Fenway area of the city.

Anyone may use the designated zone for pickups and drop-offs from 5 p.m. overnight and into the early morning hours. Enforcement of the pilot will start Friday.
