Oregon: Survey prompts Grants Pass to not install traffic cameras

More than 2 years after the Grants Pass City Council approved traffic camera use, a survey now shows those won’t be installed after all.

Because these cameras are on state highways, the city has to follow Oregon Department of Transportation Procedures, and conduct a survey to make sure the intersections have enough violations to warrant camera enforcement.

The survey results showed too few red light violations at the intersections to qualify.
