New York: More speed cameras on Staten Island: Here’s where they are located

The hunt for speed cameras goes on, as Staten Island residents continue to see more and more new cameraspopping up around the borough.

In late June, state legislators failed to extend the city’s school zone speed camera program before the end of the legislative session, requiring city lawmakers to step in and salvage the strategy designed to bolster safety near New York City schools.

In late August, City Council reinstated and expanded the program, more than doubling the allowed amount of citywide school zone speed cameras from 140 to 290.
