New Ohio bill would allow drivers to wait 8 years to get new driver’s license

You might not have to go to the BMV as often in Ohio if a bill in the state legislature becomes law.

It would allow drivers between the ages of 21 and 65 to buy a license that lasts for eight years instead of renewing every four years as required now. The new version would be nearly double the price.

Nineteen other states already allow drivers to get a license that lasts for eight years.
