New data show 3 of riskiest roads in Florida are in Jacksonville

Three of the top five riskiest roads in Florida, because of distracted driving, are right here in Jacksonville, according to new data released by the company Lytx, a driver-risk-management company.

The intersections include areas I-10 and Roosevelt Boulevard, I-295 and Commonwealth Avenue and I-95 and Myrtle Avenue North. Those roads are the riskiest, in part, because of the number of people using cellphones while driving.

Researchers found the number of drivers seen using their cellphones while driving contributed to that risk.
