Nearing an end to a deadly year on area roads in Warren County, NY

“It’s been a bad year,” said Warren County sheriff’s Sgt. Ben Geisler, who is assigned to the agency’s Traffic Safety Unit.

Warren County has averaged four deaths on its roads and highways per year this decade, according to the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee. The fatality rate statewide is five deaths per 100,000 residents, while Warren County’s population is around 67,000 people.
