Need to send that text message while you’re motoring down the road?
Police in Oregon say you need to pull over.
The safety message was driven home in Springfield Thursday with a special enforcement blitz against distracted driving.
“It can be as dangerous as impaired driving that’s caused by drugs or alcohol,” says Springfield Police Officer Eric Pardee.
Oregon law states drivers can be pulled over for not only texting and talking on their smartphones, but using any hands-on electronic device.
