New York: I-87 barrier in Yonkers to go cashless to help improve traffic flow

The New York Thruway Authority plans to go cashless at the I-87 barrier in Yonkers.

The plan comes as part of the state’s infrastructure investments to improve traffic flow.

This will be Westchester’s first cashless system. It follows the switchover to the Gov. Mario Cuomo Bridge, which went cashless two years ago.
