Here’s why Mobile County, AL doesn’t have school bus stop-arm cameras back (Due to the Dallas School Cam Scandal)

Mobile County Public Schools was the first school district to get the school bus stop-arm cameras in the state at no cost to the school board back in 2016.

“We find that it’s a helpful thing. It’s also a safety issue for us and we find that it does a good job for us,” said School Board President Don Stringfellow.

The $7.5 million worth of camera equipment was installed by Force Multiplier Solutions on 300 buses.

That company is now closed after the owner admitted to giving kickbacks for bus cameras in Dallas.

When he went to prison, Mobile lost its cameras.
