Hands-free law coming to Arizona? Lawmaker pushes for new distracted driving bill

As hundreds of people gathered at the State Capitol Wednesday to take part in an annual Distracted Driving Summit, an Arizona lawmaker was making a push for a big change in our state’s driving laws.

Sen. Kate Brophy McGee has introduced a bill requiring only hands-free devices behind the wheel.

“You will have your hands on the wheel, you will be watching the road, any conversations are hands-free,” she described.
