107,850 Ford F-150 Recalled for Transmission Issue

Ford is recalling 107,850 of its 2013 F-150 pickup trucks to fix faulty software that was installed as part of an earlier recall. That recall was meant to fix transmissions that were shifting into first gear unexpectedly, the automaker says, but it did not.

Depending on how fast the truck is going, Ford says, an abrupt transmission shift into first gear without a warning could result in loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
