‘Eyes on 94’ initiative aims to curtail dangerous I-94 driving in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Ohio

Of all the fatal crashes in Michigan, 12 percent involve a commercial vehicle.

Michigan State Police want to bring that number down to zero.

To do that, MSP has launched a new initiative with the Indiana State Police, Illinois State Police and Ohio Highway Patrol called “Eyes on 94.” It’s a week-long initiative from Dec. 4-8 that focuses on raising awareness on avoiding hazardous commercial vehicle driving.

MSP Commander of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division Cpt. Michael Krumm kicked off the initiative with other troopers on Monday morning at a weigh station on eastbound I-94 in Grass Lake Township.
