Police wrote more than 4,000 traffic citations in the City of Milton this year. Now, a traffic engineer is calling for change to timing for yellow lights.
Brian Ceccarelli said short yellow lights are putting drivers in danger. He said with short yellow signals, drivers don’t have the distance to stop or the time to drive through the intersection before the light turns red.
Five red light cameras can be seen at three different intersections across the City of Milton.
Milton Police Chief Tony Tindell said this year alone thousands of drivers were given citations.
