Deerfield, Illinois debates whether to remove stop signs

Most members of Deerfield’s Village Board of Trustees gave little indication how they plan to vote on an ordinance that would remove north and southbound stop signs on Pine Street at Anthony Lane. Members of the public who attended a recent meeting, however, expressed strong feelings.

The board is scheduled to vote on the ordnance at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at Village Hall after a traffic study showed the signs stopping traffic on Pine as it approaches Anthony are unwarranted.
