Home Forums Traffic Stops & Law Enforcement "Super Speeder" Fine in Georgia UPDATE Re: “Super Speeder” Fine in Georgia

If anyone decides to pursue further action please include myself as well. I paid, what I felt was unfair to begin with, a speeding fine of $486 for driving 90 mph in a 70 mph zone. I explained to the officer (sitting in the dark without lights on, on a four lane highway in Darien County) that I was trying to get home for Christmas to see my family (I’m active army stationed at Fort Bragg), and was there anyway he could reduce the speed. His reply was no of course. Now I’m hit with an additional $200 super speeder fine and this is ridiculous.
