SB 559 was introduced to the Senate on January 14, 2019 and subsequently referred to the Transportation Committee. The bill is not yet schedule for a hearing or vote.

The bill would allow Oregon cities to expand and make permanent the use of automated speed enforcement. The NMA opposes the use of speed cameras.
