Gary Biller and Jay Beeber, a Southern California motorist advocate and NMA Life Member, will be in Sacramento on October 7th and 8th to meet with state legislators and their staffs to discuss issues of importance to California drivers. Gary is hoping to set up a gathering of members the evening of the 7th or 8th in Sacramento to meet and exchange ideas of what the NMA can do to address the most pressing matters facing motorists in Northern California.
If you would like to meet, and have a preference of which evening, please RSVP to Gary at firstname.lastname@example.org by September 27th. We are also looking for suggestions for a central meeting venue in or near Sacramento that is convenient for a group of perhaps 15 to 20 people.
Gary, Jay and Shelia Dunn, NMA Communications Director, will be participating in a Los Angeles conference on Saturday October 5th where transportation experts who share the NMA’s concern about how aggressive efforts to impose Vision Zero measures, such as road diets, will restrict driving and drivers’ rights. Reporting on the panel discussions from that conference alone will give us much to talk about since more California communities are committing to Vision Zero programs.
We look forward to the opportunity to meet with you, hear what is foremost on the minds of Northern California NMA members.
Thank you for your support of the NMA and motorist rights!
