Assembly Bill 759 was enrolled on September 12, 2019. It was presented to the governor on September 24 after passing votes in the State Assembly and Senate.
The bill adds to existing law regarding the protection and safety of workers in road construction zones by specifying the appropriate use of positive protection measures, including, but not limited to, automated flagger assistance devices, buffer lanes, impact attenuator vehicles, and temporary barriers, with the goal of isolating workers or work zones from traffic.
