California: San Jose Speed Camera Hearing

The San Jose City Council will be holding a meeting on March 6th to consider ending its speed camera ticketing program. The council's Transportation and Environment Committee is recommending that the city only use the system to give warnings because the current system violates state law.

We need your help to put a stop to the ticket cameras in San Jose. Please attend the meeting if you are in the area, or if that is not possible, you can contact members of the city council in advance of the meeting. Their contact information is available here: http://www.sanjoseca.gov/council.html.

Some talking points to bring up can be found here.
